Time to catch up with me....

Thanks to all my sweet friends that came by to visit. I thought it would be nice to catch you up some with my life. For you that have followed me you know I love to cook. This is something God has placed in my life. One day I was crying out to God and ask how I would make it? I had been house wife and mom. My home was my life and making sure my kids and husband had everything. NO school..wow what to do? God spoke to me that day..no not out loud, but I knew it was him." Use your talent" I knew where he was going with this. Cooking was a gift he gave me and a special mom to teach me. Right after I felt him speak I called a few people and it all started.
"Southern Sister"
Country cooking from the heart
My daughter April started my Facebook
and we ordered some cards. I had to get the word out.I knew it wouldn't be overnight and with the economy it is hard, but all I can do is follow my heart. The small orders started to come in just when I needed some extra money. Then my daughter decided to build a site so others could place orders
It has been a slow road, but I have enjoyed it.I love putting my heart into what I do for others. When I went home for Thanksgiving I got my first big job for an Oil company there. I came home packed up and went back. Thanks to my sister and her husband for their home and a great friend that stayed up night and day helping me it went over great. To everything there is a season and things are in Gods hands...I'm just holding on.

  1. Oh my goodness! What a great post. I've just recently found myself to be an empty nester with a lot of time on my hands and I've been asking God what He plans to do with all of that. I've got some ideas but I'm trying to be patient and see if He steers me in one direction or the other. Good for you! The fod looks yummy.
