athome America specialist

Do you remember a few post back when I talked about my sweet girl in Texas? You know she is redoing her home. A few days ago she called"Mom" I have something I need help with. I was fine with that. She had two books she had been looking at so I got on line and we went through them together,OH MY I wanted it all. I ask where this store was located? She said you don't go likr the mall it is online are at a party. We begin to pick out things for her home.

The more she picked out the more I loved the company and what I was seeing. I said wait I need to call this number.I got on my cell dialed a number and talked about what this company was about.A Christian company believes strongl in family and home.

They say we meet you one heart, one home at a time.I LOVED it! I say with in 30mins I was a specialist for the company.
I have loved decorating and going into others homes and helping them. As long as they buy out product out time and help is FREE.

I still love digging and thrifting, but mixing and matching never hurt. I also love the idea my web site has a sale all the time.

I hope this is something to works out for me so I can do something I love.

I am here to help you any way at all.If you have a room and need something special are help placing things.Just tell me.

If you are broke and want something free I can send you books to show at work and friends and you get FREE stuff for you!

Are if you just wanna shop off line were as not to fuss with the crowds go look around on my site BUT besure and look at the SALES in the ATTICK!

Isn't this beautiful? It can also be a cake plate. I think seeing these is one thing that made up my mind to become a specialist.I love this type thing and getting it at great price was my goal. If they are any left these were below $5 now that is a steal! all sales are on my page in the Attic and ship straight to your home.

LOVE this teapot. As lond as supplies last...Less than $5... you can't go to the dollar store this cheap. Our products are really nice and heavy...I know when he delivered my boxes he had to bring them in. These were around $25 now on sale in the Attic.I know I have a few of these going out as Christmas gifts.

These items are on clearance in the Attic as low as 3.99 and were above $20
One thing I really like is there is something price for everyone. We try and stay below Southernliving prices. There is always a sale and a clearance.

This is a just a FEW of our Christmas items I just love. I can't wait to have this deer on my bar filled with goodies.

Rotini bake with plenty to share or freeze

Lets do a Rotini bake! can you do two things at once? This is so simple and not costly.
The other day I was sitting here and I wanted something good. My son had called and he was coming to bring the baby.Oh yea is last words were are you gonna have food. Now tell me how can you say no to that. Food in exchange for that beautiful baby.
I knew for him and my hubby I needed a good amount, but what? No time to thaw a roast and cook hummm there had to be something. I have eaten out enough and cooked all my life I knew I could do it.I got in the kitchen and the Rotini Bake is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Panini bake
1 box of panini pasta
1 lg jar spaghetti sauce
1 can rotel tomatoes
1/2 large onion(chopped)
1/2 large bell pepper(chopped)
1 small roll of sausage( you can use Italian sausage if you like)
Pepperoni
shredded cheese( I used the mixed)

Parmisan cheese
Options.

1. add mushrooms
2. also use ricotta cheese

This is so simple don't let the number of ingredients run you away, you be sorry if you do!
This recipe makes ALOT. It makes a LARGE family size and a medium or three small.
It is always good to share use at a function or have in the freezer for that busy day.
First start the pasta to boil in large pot. I use a small amount of oil, salt and pepper.
While this is boiling cook your sausage and chopped vegetables.Just cook until sausage is done
and then drain and set aside.
When pasta is tender drain well.Add tomatoes and spaghetti sauce.Add meat mixture and toss.
Get your casserole dishes ready to layer and bake pasta.
Pour a layer of pasta mixture, sprinkle with parmesan, top with peperoni and sprinkle shredded cheese. Add another layer of pasta and do the same. The top layer is cheese.
I spray my foil with butter spray so it will not stick to cheese and bake at 350 degrees until pasta is bubbling and cheese is melted.
This makes a meal with a salad and garlic bread.

Here is my sausage, onion and bell pepper cooked and drained. It is now ready to add to the pasta mixture.

The pasta mixture is a large bottle or can of spaghetti sauce of your choice and a can of rotels.I also add a little more spices, salt, pepper and oregano to my taste. At this time add the meat mixture to the pasta and toss as not to tare up the pasta. It is now ready to layer.

The above photo is the pasta all mixed and ready to be layered in the casserole.

I pour a layer of mixture in the dish, layer the pepperoni's sprinkle with parmesan, shredded cheeses .

Here I have got the recipe ready and put into the casserole.Topped it with cheese and waiting to put in oven. If you are wanting to freeze one now is the time.I would put my pasta mixture in two dishes and ONLY add cheese to the one you will bake today. Cover the other one with foil and freeze.TOP with cheese when you get it out to bake it. If you have a sick community member the extra casserole can be put in a foil to go pan and baked for that sick or elderly friend.

Oh man does this look yummy? Not because I made it,but it was great. I love making things from scratch and it turn out good enough to share. Lots of cheeses make this a winner.

Our little Kaytlynn turns six!

I can not believe Nanas baby girl turned SIX!

Meet princess Kaytlynn. Kaytlynn is my first grandbaby.Six years ago God sent this special gift

to us. I knew I loved her,but who would ever think we would be such friends.Kaytlynn loves staying with Nana. She is my little sidekick...we maybe cooking, shopping, watching Paula Deen or having coffee in bed,but you can be sure of one thing...we are together as much as we can be.

This weekend Kaytlynn celebrated her birthday with her friends and family.

Don't you just LOVE her outfit? We loved it and are so proud of it. It is amazing how great God is.This outfit came to us from some special friends and we know God sent them back into our lives.About ten years ago when we lived in Florida April was around twelve. She had many friends, but one girl came right before we moved and she was a nut! April just had a blast with her.It was hard when she had to move and leave her friends.About three weeks ago April found her friend on facebook. They shared their lives and children and caught up.April found out her friend was coowner of a wonderful Boutiqe in Florida. If you have a child you have to visit. They have bows that are to die for. Her sister makes the beautiful outfits and tutus. The more they talked she found out about Princess Kaytlynn and made her birthday outfit! Now that is a true friend and it made Kaytlynns day.

Go visit the sisters and see bows that you will love. They also make custom outfits!

Kaytlynn had fun with family and friends. Yes these girls are the same age.I wonder if she is big...are maybe their small. I know one thing with the hold she had on them they were not leaving her party!

There were presents.......LOTS of them

Some of the girls got their grove on! Oh how fun to be 6 again.

Pricess Kaytlynn made her wish and yummy cake was enjoyed.

Girl talk about kitchen products

Okay Girls we have to talk!

I know we are all different and come from all over the world and that is why I need your help!

I have a special girl in my life that I call my adopted daughter. We laugh because even though it is not legal we hold a special place in each others heart and we know God put us together.

She moved away a few years back and found her Princes charming and now has a family. One thing they always say you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl! Oh WOW I do agree..I will never forget the memories of a warm, cozy home and the smells coming from my moms kitchen! That is what Christina is going threw now. She wants to bring this love and charm to her children.

I hate I can't spend more time helping, but she has decided to take cooking classes. I'm just proud to see a young lady still wanting this as many just order out.

I do have a few problems and this is what I need you girls for!

She calls me often and tells me what is going on and oh my sometimes it is hard.

The first thing is foods.I know if I ask you to tell me the foods that make your heart feel warm and fuzzy many would say, fried chicken and tators, the smell of fresh baked cookies, pretty cup cakes, peas and cornbread, biscuits and gravy! I can go on and on and we all have different things BUT how many of you would say BAKED chicken? I guess if your dieting, but excuse me we are in the SOUTH here.

Yep you got it this teacher said I don't fry and all meat is baked. French fries for the kids BAKED. I don't know about you,but I would have said thanks as I WALKED out the door!

Just because you can cook and teach it doesn't mean all is right.

Here are a few more things that drove me nuts. They had to go on a shopping trip to get supplies for the kitchen. She was against Non stick cake pans and had her buy silicone...oh all the cook inside me was screaming out. Plastic measuring cups...WHAT? I have been cooking all my life and many recipes tell you to use glass. You couldn't give me a plastic mixing bowl. Oh I would take it and say thanks and take it right over to Salvation Army. I know someone would use it....but not me.

I'm not being ugly at all,but when my baby ask for help please don't make her blow money on your ideas.

One more thing that I have to know from you...do you like to cook in Non Stick pot or stainless steel? I know when Rian came home from Chef School he was all fired up about stainless. I went out and bought a nice set. I also gave that NICE set away! I hated it. It did get hot yes,but everything stuck even noodles.

I used oil and did everything I was told. Give me my good old Non stick skillets any day. I know you have to use your head and not scratch the non stick with metal spoons, but I'll do that any day. Christina wanted Paula Deen so bad( she thinks I remind her of her) but she was told no.I think this is when she reached down deep and said I will listen to alot of things, but don't tell me NO Paula.

I just had to put this out there for you to help me.Please tell me what you think and what you love. Any great ideas that may help a young mom and cook will be greatly appreciated!

I have the Paula Deen set and love the way it cooks. I will say I put mine in the dishwasher and they are not bright red any more. I should have known better being a cook, but I wasn't thinking about it fading.

Okay ladies time for you to tell me what you think, I have to know am I the only nut that hates silicone? I know at one time these came out and were supposed to be HOT items. My mom baked cakes for the public and went out and bought these. She used it once and threw it away! That is just how I feel also. Man come up with new things and im always open to try,but my good old tube pan has NEVER let me down! What do you use?

I have this pan that makes small cakes and it is GREAT. I love making these and wrapping them and giving as little treats and a happy for friends and elderly. I also have made pumpkin and banana bread in these for teachers. They have always looked forward to what I would bring.

This new pan that makes the Popsicle pops is the cutest. Now tell me what child wouldn't like to come home and smell fresh baked goods and find these cute treats?

Plastic measuring cups verses glass...that is the question?

No names will be mentioned as not to cause any problems, but I have been in a dicussion about this.

Im shocked that someone trained in cooking would like the cheap plastic cups. I have to tell you on my part I HATE plastic.I find that when I use plastic and oils together it makes such a film. To me the plastic holds odors. I ask why would a chef have a cooking student buy PLASTIC over GLASS?

Happy Veterans Day

Today as we show are thanks to all the men and woman that have fought for our freedom I want to say thank you! Thanks to all of you that have loved ones that have served.
Today I would like for you to meet my solider Rian Eason. Rian is the first born son to my husband and I.
Rian is such a blessing and has always been to our family. Rian is such a miracle that we knew God had a special calling for him since birth.
Rian loves life and takes each day to make the most of it. Rian is so talented and caring. He has always been my baby. When most moms have a little girl in her kitchen by her side I had Rian. From the time Rian was a small child he loved cooking.Out of High school Rian continued his career as a Chef. After losing his bakery to hurricane Katrina Rian joined the USAF.
He has served his country with all of his heart and we are so proud him.
These are a few photos we took on a trip to see Rian before he shipped out.He loves the Amish life so we got a home on a working farm. Here he is fishing in the pond.

This is our trip to see Rian when he returned from his first deployment, but was getting ready for a second one. The smile on my face would fade as each day passed knowing I would walk away and say goodbye not only to leave him in NJ,but to send him back to fight for our FREEDOM!
This is pictures taken a few years back when we went to see Rian before he left on his first deployment.
This is one of his buddies he met at boot camp and later ended up at the same base.He was shipped out before Rian.
